GoodBully privacy policy
GoodBully does not collect, transmit, or sell your data. It has no account, no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Everything it knows stays on your iPhone.
What GoodBully stores on your iPhone
- The apps you choose to shield. You pick them with Apple’s Screen Time picker. iOS gives GoodBully opaque tokens rather than app names, so GoodBully cannot see which apps you picked.
- Your settings. Which bucket each selection belongs to (for example, food delivery or social), and how firmly GoodBully speaks.
- Counts from today. How many times you opened a shielded app and roughly how long you spent in it, used to choose what the shield says. iOS reports these to GoodBully through Screen Time.
- Your passes. A record of each time you chose “Let me in anyway,” kept for 30 days.
This information is kept in storage on your device that only GoodBully and its own Screen Time extensions can read.
What leaves your iPhone
Nothing. GoodBully has no servers and does not send your data anywhere, including to Meline LLC.
If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may provide Meline LLC with crash reports and aggregate usage statistics. Apple collects and anonymizes those under Apple’s own privacy policy; GoodBully does not.
Screen Time access
GoodBully uses Apple’s Screen Time framework to shield apps. It asks for access to manage your own device. It is not a parental-controls app and does not manage anyone else’s device. You can remove the access in your iPhone’s Screen Time settings, or by deleting GoodBully.
Financial information
The current version of GoodBully does not connect to bank accounts or read financial data. If a future version offers that, it will be optional, and this policy will be updated before that version is released.
Children
GoodBully is not directed to children under 13 and is not a parental-controls tool.
Deleting your data
Deleting GoodBully from your iPhone deletes everything it stored and removes its shields.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
